Coronaviruses are generally thought to be spread from person-to-person through respiratory droplets. Currently there is no evidence to support transmission of COVID-19 associated with food. (CDC) However, the third-party logistics industry remains vigilant in maintaining food safety and quality  throughout the cold chain, protecting the foods families love.

With an influx of new employees due to increased demand for food and other essential supplies, now is a great time to review staff training and compliance with the Food and Drug Administration Sanitary Transportation of Food (STF) rule. Though specific to the U.S., these practices can be adapted and used around the globe.
